First off, she is so personably whether she is writing her blog or cookbook, she is always talking to you as a friend. Second, her recipes are the bomb and you can ALWAYS trust them for any occasion even if it's the first time.
And lastly your should do your self a favor and buy everyone you know one !

Her books are beautifully done and wonderful recipies with great photos...with that being said I have to say it drives me crazy when you have a nice cookbook that obviously the person spent a lot of time doing AND then to NOT include the macros for each recipe. I swore I would not buy another cookbook without, however when looking at the "previews" they don't always show an actual recipe so then your stuck trying to decide weather to send it back....I've decided to keep this one but that's it unless I can see a whole recipe in a book
Amazing recipes for every major occasion
Danielle Walker's latest book is full of great tasting recepies and beautiful photos. For those who are new to the gluten-free, Paleo, grain and dairy free diets, you will be very pleased with this cookbook. From buffalo wings for football season, to carrot cake for Easter, these recipes are sure to satisfy food lovers of all ages. Danielle's recipes are arranged by occasion. There is also a very handy index at the end of the book which allows you to look up recipes by their name or specific ingredient. The book also includes helpful tips for those new to the gluten-free, Paleo, or grain free lifestyle. It includes handy measurement conversion charts, ingredient resources and tips on hosting any occasion with ease and confidence. Cooking and baking from Danielle's newest book has been great! My family and friends who have enjoyed the recent recipes raved about how great they taste and I did not even need to specify that they were gluten-free or Paleo. Danielle does a wonderful job of re-creating holiday recipes for all to enjoy. They are delicious and have wholesome ingredients. So once you get your hands on this book get to cooking and happy eating!
I was lucky to receive an early copy, so I've been cooking from this book for about 2 weeks, and it's a MUST HAVE. This book is not only for those who have allergies, or follow GF diet, every recipe I have made so far has been delicious, and my family (with 0 diet restrictions) has loved each one so far.
My favorite has been the "corn" bread. It's moist, has amazing texture, and I have been repurposing it for other recipes as well. I have already made it 3 times because it's so delicious and easy to make.
We've made the blackened salmon with stone fruit salsa, and with chicken, and it was so flavorful. I love how easy the recipes can be for weeknight dinners. As long as you're prepped with the ingredients, actually making most of these recipes have been a breeze.
I've really loved two things about this book in particular: the tidbits, and hints to make cooking easier, or prepping ahead of time. And her breakdown of ingredients at the beginning of the book that really help with the brands she recommends. Learning about GF baking (almond flour vs meal, almonds vs cashews, etc) can be overwhelming, but she really explains each ingredient!
I really can't stress how diverse this book is from desserts, to meat, to sides, and beverages, I love that it has the full range of meals. I think the innovation behind recipes for each Holiday really resonated with me. I found out I have Celiac Disease only three years ago, and have felt very left out at Holidays and have missed the common food at these holidays. But so many classics are now available to me, and not only do they bring back those memories of the original, but I KNOW EXACTLY what I'm eating now. No chemicals and processed cans, just clean, natural foods that I can enjoy with my family!
Definitely a must-buy for those with and without allergies in your life! I really think this would be such a cute gift for any Holiday!

If you own any of the other books, you know Danielle's recipes are legit! This one doesn't disappoint. I love the blta burger, and Cabernet braised short ribs. They even reheat well!
Definitely a must have for your cookbook collection!
